Isocyanate-Terminated Polybutadiene (ITPB) is an innovative, end-group functionalized, room-temperature-curing functional polymer. Its unique dual-phase structure—comprising urethane hard segments and polybutadiene soft segments—achieves an optimal balance of high elasticity and robust adhesion. Compared to conventional hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB), ITPB exhibits higher reactivity of isocyanate groups (-NCO) and controllable crosslinking density. As a key material for epoxy resin toughening, electronic potting compounds, and waterproof coatings, ITPB is widely adopted in high-end applications such as hydraulic machinery, electronic encapsulation, and architectural waterproofing, thanks to its low-shrinkage curing and hydrolysis resistance.
